Is there a difference between the lotion used for Tanning beds and lotions used for Mystic tans?
I have SunlessTanning Lotion I bought for when I used to go into Tanning Beds (long time ago – so not worth the painful “sunburns” and ruining your skin). But I occasionally go to get a Mystic Tan and they always convince me to spend $10 on a one-time use packet of lotion before my Spray Tan. I don’t want to be scammed. Will my Sunless Tanning lotion work? And if not, does it even actually help to buy the proper lotions for Spray Tanning?
I would suggest purchasing a bottle of Angel daily moisturizer by Designer Skin. It’s a huge bottle for about $25, and works great if you want to ensure that you have an even, long-lasting Mystic tan. I work at an upscale Tanning Salon, and we recommend that product to all of our Mystic customers.
i’m tan but i want to look a little darker. i tried jergens natural glow. it worked great except that it took so long. what type of lotion can i use that’ll have fast results and not leav my skin orange?? i don’t really want to use sprays.
looking for instructional online classes for hide Tanning & high quality Tanning Kits?
i am wanting to get into the Tanning Business for a hobby but i need some training on how to tan Hides. are there any websites or online classes that teach hide tanning? i want to know from start to finish on how to tan a hide. are there any good tanning kits or online stores?
The first three sites deal specifically with brain tanning, where the animal’s brain is used as the tanning agent (interesting note: Each animal is said to have enough brain to provide the required amount of tanning agent for it’s own hide). The advantages to brain tanning is that you will not need to find a way to store noxious/dangerous chemicals, you don’t need special equipment such as ventilation hoods, the hide doesn’t get as stiff as when chemicals are used (brain tanned buckskin is supposed to be the softest available) and you can tan a hide nearly anywhere (even in the dining room, if the wife will let you). The biggest drawback to brain tanning is the smell and the mess…but then, the vapors from some of the chemicals used for Commercial Tanning can kill you, and they’ll ruin the dining room table. (I would rather put up with the smell and mess of brain tanning, than possibly die from breathing poisonous vapors.)
There are a lot more sites on tanning leather, some even dealing with Vegetable Tanning, but I only had time for a two-minute search.
Is it necessary to exfoliate your skin every time before applying Tanning lotion?
today is the first time i use a Tanning Lotion, Neutrogena Build-a-Tan. so i wash up really well with a body soap that exfoliates..
but im wondering is it necessary to do that every time before you apply tanning lotion?
because im planning on applying it everyday before bed..
do i have to exfoliate or just use normal soap to wash up from now on?
Exfoliate once a week to remove any extra dead skin. Do not over exfoliate or you will not keep a tan of any kind because you are rubbing off too many new skin cells. Let the lotion dry completely before going to bed or you will be splotchy. do not use bar soap either, it leaves a residue on your skin that will prevent the tanning lotion from getting deep into your skin!!
I work for a TanningSalon and I need to make up gift baskets for work for Christmas for a group of young 20′s girls. I have cute red tin buckets with santa suit on it. I also already have note pads and cheese crock, both santa themed. I am putting in a couple of shirts with the company logo, and a bottle of their favorite Tanning Lotion. I need some more things to round out the basket. Any ideas?
