How long should I tan for using a stand up Booth(never have been Tanning)?

I have NEVER used a Tanning Bed/booth before. I am very fair and burn at the beach often but it turns tan after. Im really scared that I am going to burn and I have heard that stand up Booths are stronger than beds so I don’t have to go as long. I was thinking about starting out at 2 minutes and working my way up to prevent burning. I WILL choose a best answer. (please do not tell me about Skin Cancer and Sunless tanning)

They are not safe, you should just use a Self Tanner. I use dove moisteriser, with a gradual tanning. It says gradual tanning but it comes up really well, even after 2 days!!! Its only around £5 in beauty shops. But if you are completely sure about using the stand up Tanning Sessions then i would recommend 2-3 minutes, my friend used to go on them and she went on for 3 minutes and there was a lot of difference. There is no need to go on for longer- waste of money! :)

Tanning help?

Would you recommend Sunless Tanning Booths. How does the process go? Would you get an even tan?
Tell me how the process goes please.
I just want a temporary one for homecoming.

I love how everyone seemed to miss the word “sunless” in your question. haha But anyway….

I work at a Tanning Salon and we have the Magic Tan Spray Tan Booth. It kind of looks like a walk in shower and on the back half of the booth, it has 36 spray nozzles. First you put on a shower cap to keep your hair from getting sprayed. You also put on barrier cream which is for the places where you dont want to get tan.

Then, once you get in you press a button and it starts. It sprays you from the bottom up starting with the front, then you switch positions. There are four different positions-front, back, side, side. There is a slight pause between each position and it takes as little as 60 seconds to do.

That’s how our sunless booth works. Some other brands may be a little different on how it sprays but for the most part they’re pretty standard and cost around 20 dollars for a single session.

It lasts for about a week and you can’t shower for 5-7 hours after you do it in order for the solution to soak in. Also, make sure you’ve exfoliated well before you do it.

I’ve done it a couple times and it looks great-it’s even and you get great color from it! Good luck!

Sunless Tanning?

I want to start tanning. Now, the question is whether to go to a Salon and tan in a Booth, or to get a Sunless Tan.

My main concern is to not look orange.

I heard that sunless tans should be mixed and sprayed by an actual person. Can a real person do it at any salon? Or do you need to go somewhere more specific so a person can mix your color?

Thanks!

If you want to look a strange color use the sunless. The only way to get a real looking tan is the sun or a booth. The sun is free, I prefer no tan lines.
