Non DHA Self Tan fake tanner pale skin fair light natural looking???

I know this question is odd but the headline was just to attract all searchers. I need to know the best Fake Tan for very pale skin. Jergens is ok, but, dont say Neutrogena because it is really orange. I need this stuff to look real on the beach. Outside on the beach is the number one area for a fake tan to look fake. Are TAN TOWELS good?? I also heard that Arbonne makes a NON DHA Self Tanner. How does that work??

It is far more uncomfortable for you than the Salon staff. They have seen hundreds (if not thousands) of people in the britches (or nothing at all…) They think nothing of it… kinda like your doctor…

I would stay away from Self Tanners in drug stores. Esh… those things are just icky… Most leave you orange, or very dark (if you have pale skin). And if you don’t get it exactly even you end up looking super funky. I have used Arbonnes non DHA tanner. I am not sure how it worked (it was alright. Not the best. I couldn’t get it even, then I ended up burning while at the beach… lol…) DHA is what changes your skin colors… Tan towels are not so popular or heard of because they are not so great… lol…so…I say just go in and get an air brush tan…

Find a salon that does NOT have the Spray On Tan by machine (like the Mystic Tan). I work at a Tanning salon and we get people that come in to us on a daily basis to fix there spray on tan from the automatic machine. The machines can’t tell if you are getting blotchy or orange. They can’t make sure it is even or too thin. Air Brush Spray Tans are amazing!

The only air brush Spray Tan solution we have found to work the absolute best is by ‘California Tan’. So if you call around ask what brand they use. ‘Breeze’ is a good solution as well.

At the salon I work at, our spray on tan is $39. Just a one time spray last 2 weeks. No one looks orange or funky. You look like you have a sun kissed bronzed tan. Even if you are pale as a marshmallow. It gradually fades away, and you look the same as before. Not spots or funky tan lines. You want to find a salon that takes the time to ask you what you want and are looking for. They should be professional and not seem ‘rushed’.

It is worth the money if it is done right. It is not something you want to do a whole lot. If you are looking for a year round tan, try the Tanning Beds(which only go through the first 3 layers of your skin rather than all 7 with the suns rays).

Before you go in and have it done you will want to shave and exfolite (the night before). Put lotion on the night before (no deoderant). The day of you will NOT want to use any lotion, body sprays or deoderant (they can react with the chemicles in the spray solution and turn you green). The salon staff should give you a special lotion (or barrell cream) to put on your feet and hands to keep them from getting darker than the rest of your body. It won’t turn your hair colores (if you dye it) so don’t worry. You will want to wear dark loose fitting clothing. You wont be able to shower for 8 hours.

Have fun!

How do I use the Sunless bronzers without getting itchy everywhere it touches???

The new ones — L’Oreal and Dove — make me break out in a rash. Does anyone else have a similar experience…and has now found an alternate brand of non-itchy Sunless Bronzer?

You’re obviously allergic to something in those particular products. Maybe the dye in general – therefore possibly to all of them. I don’t know. I have no problems with any of them I’ve ever used – and I’ve used several. I purchase my spray self-tanner through AVON. But I’ve used Neutrogena as well as others- again successfully.

Could i tan?

I am interested in Tanning, but fact is i am pretty pal I have the strawberry blonde hair and the freckles. I have a friend that works at a Tanning Salon and says I could tan, but I am just not to sure. I dont want to burn nor do I want my freckles to get darker. I really want to be able to wear shorts and skirts this summer but right now I am just to pale to do it! From experience I can’t use the Sunless Tanning Supplies I turn orange. So what should I do?

If you decide to use a Tanning Booth, (solarium) then make sure you use a tan accelerator to help your skin produce melanin. It speeds up the tanning process and means you don’t need to spend so long in the solarium – hence less skin damage. Also, only use the solarium for half the time for the first few sessions, or use a lower UV bed, this way you won’t burn and you can watch your skin for any problems.
I hope you know though, solariums are really bad for your skin, and you should never use them for long periods of time.

There are tan products available that won’t make you turn orange, like St. Tropez mousse bronzer (it’s great) and provided you don’t get a Cheap Tanning solution, you shouldn’t turn orange at all.
Good luck!

Sunless Tanning spray Booths?

Has anyone here used one? Were you happy with the results and how much does it cost?

They cost anywhere from $10.00 to $30.00 depending on where you go, and where you are locally. If you follow these instructions, it’ll look great!

You should exfoliate your entire body before you go. However do not moisturize! The reason you don’t want to moisturize is because any type of emollient is going to block the absorption of DHA, the active ingredient in the Spray Tan. The only kind of a moisturizer you can use before a spray tan… that I know of anyway… is made by Mystic and it’s called HyperMoist.

When you go into the Booth you’ll of course want to undress, put the hair net on and then prepare your skin. They will provide you with a blending cream. You want to put a very, very thin layer on dry areas, like your knees and elbows and a rub it in.

Then apply a heavier layer of it on the palms of your hands, working it more thinly in between your fingers and the webbing of your fingers. Do the same thing on the edges of your feet. NOT ON THE BOTTOMS of your feet! Also make sure you get your nails and cuticles of both hands and feet.

You are now ready for the booth… ooops! Almost forgot! Use the eyewear they give you! Most of the time people want to squint when the spray hits their face. When they do that it makes you look like you have wrinkles when you don’t.

When you get out, you want to first wipe the cream off your hands and with a towel, remove the cap from your head. As quickly as you can, with a clean towel dry off COMPLETELY! As fast as you can, rub every part of your body dry… don’t miss a thing! A lot of people want to leave as much of the spray on them, this cause blotchiness. Don’t do it! Rub yourself dry! The faster you can dry off, the less chance of dripping and running.

Don’t wear your favorite white bra, it can stain some fabrics. Do not get wet for at least 4-6 hours after. Don’t do any activity that may cause you to sweat for 4-6 hours. After you take a shower, use a moisturizer. Even though the solution is aloe based, the DHA can be drying to your skin. The more you moisturize, the longer it lasts.

Good Luck! Follow these instructions and it’ll look great!

if i use Sunless Tanning lotion on face, neck and chest, where should i rub it on to look natural?

anyone know?…do i rub it all over my face and neck? First time user of Sunless Tanning lotion…
I’ve already got orangey hands…and I just need the exposed areas covered…Does anyone know when it will wear off from my skin?…the product doesnt say when it will wash away…I’ve already took a shower and noticed it is still on…

I put it all over myself, wearing gloves of course! Otherwise you’ll get bright orange hands, and that will be a give away, I exfoliate my skin first also so that the tan dries evenly dont moisturize afterwards though, othewise youll cause a block for the tan. Get someone to help you do your back and awkward areas, I use the body tanner on my face too because its a bit darker than the facial ones, I put it everywhere because its a dead giveaway if you have a tanned neck and face then your arms are white! Once I am finished I just let it dry for 15 mins before putting clothes on so I get no lines! Then I apply just a layer on the tops of my hands when I have taken the gloves off, so i dont get glove lines! Good Luck

It should take about a week to wear off, toothpaste is meant to remove it quicker and also ex foliater on your hands should get it off too!

would Sunless Tanning lotion make my freckles darker?

I have a pale face with lots of freckles and i like them, but they get kind of annoying when they get dark, so i was planning to use Sunless Tanning lotion to make my pale face darker so my freckles would seem lighter, but i dont know if it works. has anyone with freckles tried sunless Tanning Lotion on their face? what are the results?

i used to use a natural glow lotion and a loreal Sunless Tanning Spray on my face. i had a few freckles, and it didn’t make them darker. and any other Sunless Tanner that i’ve used (even the Mystic and versaspa Spray On Tans) never darkened them. it made them look a lot better and the color looked fine.
i’d give it a try! good luckk :)
