Databases to help find information on Tanning risks and teens?
I am doing a research paper on how teens shouldn’t be able to tan. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas where I could find good sources.
Are Sunbeds worse than going out in the sun?
Are sunbeds worse than Tanning in the natural sun in relation to Skin Cancer & aging skin etc?
In the UK there is a campaign to get tanning Booths and sunbeds banned as they increase the risk of skin cancer significantly.I can only advise you to steer clear of these places they apply intensive rays to the skin and since the dose is intensive and short lived you run the risk of intensifying the damage.Anything that stimulates melanin production is a danger to the skins health.melanin is there to protect your skin-its the first line of defence-but also you may not know it but it also decreases enzymes in the skin that protect you from cancer too, as well as breaking down collagen production (that keeps your skin firm) so if you want to look old before your time then use a Sunbed.
I have worked in the skin care industry for over 20 years and can spot a sunbed worshipper instantly-if you need further proof go and visit the SK-II counter where they have the beauty imaging system on counter, they take a photo of your skin and then your face is analysed and they can show you what is happening under the skin.When I was in NYC I was shocked to see girls as young as 14 with serious sun damage from using sunbeds and staying too long in the sun.Don’t do it!
skin CANCER?
so i got 3 moles removed back at the end of marchh… they told me that 2 were fine but 1 was starting to “change” aka not good but they said the tissue around where they took out was good tissue not bad..
soo… iwent tannign only once before my prom – dumbb idea i know – but now the BAD MOLE is coming back! just a little bit but this is not cool.. whats this all about? am i starting to get skin cancer? should i get it removed again? … none of my other moles came back.. jsut this one
helppp? thoughts?
yesss i do have blonde hair and blue eyes.. and i am fair kinda – i get really dark during summer though and i dont freckle, its actual brown tan skin
NEVER go Tanning. That’s you asking to be baked with carcinogens.
Gotot your doctor, and let the doctor tell you what to do, as far as removing it and such.
tan tablets ????
I was thinking of taking tan tablets that contain tyrosine.. does any1 know if this will bring out my freckles or just make me freckle MORE as i do have freckles already , jus wanna know if they will work to tan thanks
tan tablets make you orange, but i dont think it will make your freckles any worse, maybe just make them not as noticeable.
New Sunbeds: What is the safest in the number of times I can spend a week?
I recently started going to bed, but I would get something so fast, but we had it as safely as possible. I know that Tanning beds are safe to start .. but how Once a week I can go?
uh …. Tanning Beds are not really safe to start …. just thought I'd let you know …. Are linked to a risk increased cancer. One way to get a tan to be absolutely sure is to spray or Mist Tanning. I made many time and provided that you follow the instructions you should end a beautiful shine. 
Most places offer Spray Tanning and tanning beds now ….
