Hi, ladies what is the best Self Tanning products?

Im looking for one that dosent streak. I thought about going to a Tanning Salon but its so bad for your skin.

I just tried L’oreal Sublime Glow for Medium Skin Tones. It is a lotion that doesn’t have that self-tanner stink. For the most part, it doesn’t streak, you have to make sure you put it on evenly. It isn’t color enriched, so you pretty much have to guess at it. But it is not difficult!! I have used it twice so far, and I have not streaked at all. You can, however, see a distinct line where I stopped at my feet. Watch your ankles, too. Don’t put it on too thick there. It gives a natural glow and I am going to continue to use it. I have tried Neutrogena and other products in the past, and have been left with embarrassing streaking effects. The only girl wearing long sleeves in 80 degree heat. Yeah, that was me. Oh, the L’oreal is around $9 for 8 ounces. Good Luck!!

What sun less Tanning product is best to use on very light skin?

I have VERY light skin and I have tried like four different Tanning Products for the summer so I can you know not look so white! However every product I try seems to do absolutely NOTHING to change my sking tone, it really sucks! Any product suggestions?

i HIGHLY recommend Banana Boat Summer Color Self Tanning Mist
ive used a lot of kinds as well, the loreal towellets-orange orange, their gel thing-ugh it was think and glittery (wtf!), and countless more
the banana boat is awesome-its a spray that leaves you actually tan! not orange. when i apply it i spread it around like it was moisturizer. it lasts a long time, it doesnt bleed off like others in the shower, it doesnt leave your finger dramatically orange (but do wash right after so it wont stay). i apply two coats for it to show tho. if youre looking for a lotion kind use the banana boat sun dial. i was faithful to the one till heb was out of stock so i got the mist one, i think its better but theyre both sanely good!

happy tanning!

Which of these options would get me a better tan?

So this summer I’ve decided to get a healthy tan instead of baking in the sun with no sunscreen. I know it will be a longer process to tan with sunscreen, but whatever. Would I get a better tan if I wore sunscreen, or if I wore sunscreen + tanner that has SPF 4? Thanks.

Yes, you can get a tan with using sunscreen. Sunscreen helps protect from damaging Uv Rays from the sun, it doesn’t help with getting darker. So you can get a “healthy tan” without damaging you skin as much as you would without wearing sunscreen. I would recommend wearing sunscreen.

Should I hit the Tanning Salons or go with a self-Tanning Lotion?

I am pretty pale with redish/pinkish undertones. I am looking into the Self Tanners at walgreens but I really dont want to turn orange or have a mess. Tanning is relazing but I am sometimes just to lazy to get up and go.It takes me a while to tan and i never get that deep dark brown like i want. I DONT want to look orange and i do want to look natural!
Advice please!! Thanks!

(i apologize ahead for this being so freaking long)
okay of course i’m going to tell you to go to a Tanning Salon because i work at one, but i’ll give you my reasons as to why also haha.
you’ll always hear stuff about Skin Cancer blah blah, which it’s true, tanning does put you at risk for cancer, but there is a smart way to tan.
try to find high powered (with high pressured lamps) beds. you may think the higher pressured beds are going to hurt your skin more but they actually help. you do not have to go in them as much (depending on the bed 1-3 times a week or for certain beds 2-3 times a month…which is good if you’re too lazy to go tan a lot!) verses the low pressured beds where you need to go 3-5 times a week to maintain your tan. also the higher pressured beds have a lower burn ratio..(the salon i work at has the ergoline open sun 1050 and it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to burn..i promise you even when i’m the palest of all pale i never burn in the bed! it’s amazing)

also if you are pretty pale, try using a lotion while you tan! lotion not only maximizes your tan but it prepares your skin for Uv Rays and keeps it moisturized as well. try one with a heat activated bronzer to give you a darker tan! (you won’t look orange). also another option to help your skin is the Mystic Tan. before you completely rule this option out let me explain it..
yes the mystic can mess up sometimes, but if you keep your skin hydrated and healthy it will work fine. and it isn’t orange. tanning in a bed and then tanning in the spray on mystic Booth really looks good (i do it myself all the time). don’t overdo the mystic though, tan in it once to twice a week. (if you do use the mystic booth and tan in a bed with lotion..make sure your lotion does NOT have a bronzer…this can cause streaking!) the mystic booth also has different levels of tanning (color) so try starting out with a level one to test it, then try a level 2 (level two has more bronzer giving you a darker color). and honestly i’ve tried a level three mystic..and it wasn’t that great..it was just obviously fake, so i wouldn’t suggest it. but level twos look great!

and if you decide you don’t want to go to a tanning salon, i used to use l’oreal sublime glow (it works so well and you spray it on yourself in a light spray) or jergens natural glow lotion which works really well as well.

theres a little information about the three options you have so i hope it helped you a little, and good luck!!

Spots that match my skin tone until I start Tanning in the sun.?

I have this pigmentation problem where there are a couple irregular shaped spots on my left shoulder that are not visible until I start tanning. Once my skin color changes, the spots show up and remain as my original skin tone. They won’t change color no matter how long or how often I stay in the sun. The tanner I get the more visible they become. What is it and how can I get rid of them?

Hello,

From the symptoms it looks like pityriasis versicolor. It is a common skin infection caused by the yeast Malassezia furfur. This skin disease commonly affects adolescents and young adults, especially in warm and humid climates. Treatment involves topical and oral antifungal medicines.

You can try over the counter antifungal products which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.

If the symptoms persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
Hope it helps.take care and regards.

Sunless tanners?

I’m on meds that make my skin extremely sensitive to the sun and Tanning beds. My skin is looking ghostly right now (veins are starting to show through), and I’m looking for some modestly priced Tanning Options, but I’m completely new to this. I’d like to try a lotion maybe, but I don’t know which ones are good and which ones are crap. Any suggestions?

The best one is Dove energy glow. It makes your skin really tan!!

Sunless Airbrush Tanning(by a person) or Sunless Tanning(by a machine)? which is better?

Im going to a Tanning Salon on Sunday and I want a really dark tan. Which option will provide a darker tan and is a better option….. Sunless tanning automatically done automatically by a machine, i think its callled mystic, or Airbrush Sunless Tanning done by a person, both at the tanning both? Thank you so much

Spray Tanning by a technician. If the color is not as dark as you want they can adjust it. You also get more of a customized tan with a technician. Most Booths only use one brand of solution. If that solution does not look good on you, or if its orange, there is nothing that can be done. Your tan time after time will look the same. Should you forget to turn….you will be a mess. Booths are not bad, I just prefer a live person. You will not know if you will like the Booth until you try it.

If you are looking for a great at home Self Tanner, try Lasting Envy: Spray Tan In A Can by EnvyTan. You will get a nice even bronze tan, that will look very natural. You can spray a second time if you do not feel you are dark enough.
