Should i apply body Tanning lotion to face? Or will it keep it from tanning?

Ive recently started tanning and i bought some Swedish Beauty Tanning Lotion. I have noticed results on my body but not yet on my face. Is the lotion keeping my face from tanning?

There are Tanning Lotions specically designed to tan your face becuz your face is one of the hardest places, if not the hardest part to tan. When i used to tan, i used products from Designer Skin. They have a face lotion (as well as a body lotion) called Luminary. Im verrrry fair skinned and this lotion worked wonders! it gave my face such a nice tan! and my face is extremly hard to tan.
