What equiptment do I need for a multi room, in-cieling speaker setup with multiple sources.?
Hey Everyone,
Im sort of new to the AV game and thought that the internet could help me. I am trying to set up a multi room speaker set up in a commercial location. Its a Salon and spa in case your wondering. There are currently 13 in ceiling speakers and I need to add either 3 more speakers or in wall jacks to plug in headphones. These are for Tanning beds.
Anyways, what is the most cost effective way of doing this. I do need volume control but I figure I could just get a box and stick it behind the reception desk. I would like the ability to run 2 or 3 or 4 different sources to the various rooms. I.e. the cutting floor gets dance music, the treatment rooms get ocean sounds etc…
I am looking for opinions on the make/model of equipment that I should be getting.
Any help would be appreciated.
Joe – This kind of system is done all the time but it is not cheap or easy. I hate to say it but you would be much better off just getting a seperate sound system for each room.
The problem is that you want different music in different rooms – that gets complicated if you want to do that with one system. What you need is called a multizone amp. It is an amp that has multiple inputs and outputs that can send any input to any output. The headphone jacks will be another story. Anything is possible if you have the money to spend, but like I said the easiest thing would be to set up a small system in each room with a seperate CD player, amp and speakers (shelf type stereo system?). You did say you were looking for the most cost effective solution.
Any decent AV design and install company could put in a system like this, but it will cost quite a bit. If you look in the phone book or online yellow pages under “audio video systems” or “sound systems” there will probably be a company nearby that can help.
Like the other answerer said, you will need to know if the existing ceiling speakers are normal 8 ohm speakers or 70volt commercial speakers if you plan to do this yourself.

Tanning problem?
In school, we have to go swimming, but it’s embarrassing because I’m white as a ghost. I can’t tan. I burn super easy, but after my sunburn goes away, I’m barely a shade darker, if that. How can I tan? I’ve heard of that spray on tanner. Does that work? If so, do you know any international franchises that do that?
Spray Tan. It’s much safer for your skin than a Tanning Salon or tanning in the sun.
Yes, it does work. I have rather pale skin, but I dance and I tan for the stage. Always, always with a fake tanner. Yeah, you just spray it on you, put on several layers of it, and you’re all set. Some of it will wash off in the pool though.
International francise? Just go to a drugstore and buy Neutrogena spray tan or any other brand.
Best Tanning Lotions For Tanning Beds?
I know people r just gonna say its bad, but idc lol.
Not looking for any bronzer type of lotion cause it goes streaky and ugly afterwards.

So I am 24, and a full-time college student. I have an idea of starting up my own online business selling and marketing different kinds of Tanning Lotions.
When I go to tanning Salons, I noticed that they charge about twice what I could get from Amazon.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience or knowledge to pass this on to me? I would like to maybe buy from Amazon…like say I’ll buy a bottle from amazon for $17.00 and then sell it from my website for $25.00.
That is the sort of concept that I would like to do and still make profits from having an online business.

money.dude it cost money.there are some sites out there that will help you build your own web site for free,i dont suggest it.the site will only last so long before they shut you down.you have found your self a good market niche.exploit it to the fullest,only dont just sell tanning stuff.check out the car stereos on amazon,sd micro cards those things sell for 80 bucks in a store,on amazon they are 11 bucks! i to had this idea,only im not so computer savey like you might be.the first thing i would do is get your money together and find someone that can build a site for you,dont get someone online to do it,maybe the nerd squad better known as the geek squad to do it.next get your name out there advertisement is key.and be perpared to do some major shipping,maybe offer free shipping on big orders,incentive…remember your are world wide when you deal with the internet.so get ready to deal over seas maybe.getting started is the hard part.good luck dude
how many sessions in a Tanning studio does it take to get brown?
im ditching the Fake Tan and going to a tanning studio instead, how many sessions would this take? and how many minutes should i go on to start with, i really want to get a tan. any tips aswell like what to put on before going and stuff? ta.
You should start off with 3 minutes to get started, to see how you will react to the beds and not burn, after a week you should be able to step up to 5 minutes, depending on the beds (their lights) you should start seeing results in a week, using a bronzer while you are in the beds help. Usually they will help you pick out what is best for your skin tone. Depending on your skin tone and how well you naturally tan will depend on how fast you get brown, usually it takes about a month to get to where you want to be. Since you are only in the beds for a few minutes at a time and how often you go, (best results, go everyday).
new to the San Diego area, where I can go to get a tan all over?
Black is, of course! Any local can direct you, but if you start in Pacific Beach and walk along the beach in La Jolla, who probably find it. Black is in regard to the air wing and most direct route is to walk. Another place is the swallows. No pun with the name, but I'm sure many people thought the same thing. Are Harbinson Canyon near Alpine. Kicking to 8 and the exit ramp Harbinson. Go south about 5 miles. They are on the left (east) side of the road. It is convenient when you go Park, also left. Ask any local if you have trouble finding that, except in the little shop in the park. The owner is a cock and probably tired of giving directions!

I’m pretty sure it’s common knowledge it’s not safe. Tanning in the regular sun isn’t “safe” either.

you really shouldnt. i mean, this probably won’t change your mind, but i wont you to at least know before you tan so when you get Skin Cancer you cant say you didnt know. tanning is horrible for your skin, you will get all wrinkly and have bad skin. its a huge cause for skin cancer. however, buying your way to skin cancer shouldnt be that expensive.
Has anyone used the Hydration Station at PLanet Beach Tanning Salon?!?
I want to use it and I heard it makes you tanner…. is that true?
I haven’t used it myself, but it’s suppose to satuate your skin w/ vitamins & make it baby butt soft… you would be exfoliated to the max after using it… I think you would get a tan quicker or the tan would stick to you longer than if you didnt use it.
